The events below are organized in chronological order. This page is updated frequently as I learn more about what’s happening in the plus size world both in Canada and internationally.

The Bod Con

This online conference focuses on body acceptance and body confidence. In previous years, speakers included Jameela Jamil, Tess Holliday, and Sarah Nicola Landry (The Birds Papaya), along with many other familiar faces in the body confidence movement. The last Bod Con took place on March 5th, 2023. Stay tuned for updates on the 2024 event. thebodcon.com

Consign Your Curves Sale

The annual Consign Your Curves consignment sale takes place every spring in Guelph. This is a big event with over 500 attendees each year and more than 50 consignment racks to shop. You can register as a seller or just come by and browse the sale.

This year, the Consign Your Curves sale is taking place from 12-4pm on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 at the Evergreen Community Centre in Guelph. There is a $2 entry fee at the door. I’ll be there so be sure to stop by my rack to say hi! https://www.consignyourcurves.com/events

Hamilton Plus Size Clothing Swap

At the Hamilton Plus Size Clothing Swap you can buy, sell, or swap your plus size clothing. The next event is taking place on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 12-3pm at Calvin Christian School in Hamilton. Tickets are available on Eventbrite. Admission is free.

Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show

On hiatus throughout the pandemic, the Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show is back for 2023. In addition to the fashion show there will be pop-up shops, a cocktail hour, a discussion panel, and more. The event will take place on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Artscape Sandbox in Toronto. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
